We're looking for a Merchandising Buyer to join K-Way team. The new collegue will be<span> responsible for curating, purchasing, and managing the product assortment, ensuring alignment with brand identity, market trends, and customer preferences. </span><span>They develop a cohesive seasonal assortment per store cluster, aimed at driving sales and strengthening the brand’s market positioning.</span><p>This role requires close collaboration with Product Design, Merchandising, Production, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing teams.</p><p><br></p><p><b><i>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required</i></b></p><ul><li><p>Approximately 10 years of buying experience in a ready-to-wear retail brand, ideally within premium (K-Way level) or luxury segments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong sensitivity to brand identity, product aesthetic, fashion trends, and customer behavior.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li> <li> <p>A collaborative mindset and a proven ability to build strong relationships across departments.</p> </li> <li> <p>High-energy, impactful professional with a strong team spirit.</p> </li> <li> <p>Fluency in Italian and English is required; French is a plus.</p> </li> </ul>
<p><strong>Buying</strong></p><ul> <li> <p>Acts as the editor of the collection by defining the assortment (looks, styles, colors, sizes) per store cluster.</p> </li> <li> <p>Executes purchases efficiently, achieving the right balance between open-to-buy budget, product assortment, customer preferences, seasonal trends, and store type.</p> </li> <li> <p>Contributes to the selection of key seasonal bets and makes buying decisions accordingly.</p></li> </ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Sales and Inventory Management</strong></p><ul> <li> <p>Monitors stock levels at store level, assesses customer insights, and coordinates with Supply Chain and Retail Management to plan and execute stock transfers throughout the season.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proposes the promotional calendar, with a specific focus on the seasonal markdown strategy.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensures optimal sell-through and brand presentation.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Analytics and Reporting</strong></p><p> </p><p></p><p></p><ul> <li> <p>Delivers post-buying analysis (depth, width, pricing, gross margin, key bets, key categories) with detailed commentary.</p> </li> <li> <p>Regularly monitors product category performance (sell-out, sell-through, out-of-stock metrics) and publishes consistent reporting.</p> </li> <li> <p>Prepares a seasonal closing report including analytics and strategic insights.</p> </li> <li> <p>Shares ongoing updates on market trends, customer evolution, and identifies business opportunities.</p> </li> </ul>
